Course Objectives
Following this course learners will be able to:
- Identify the differences between sensory reactivity and sensory perception
- Understand Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) theory and patterns of SI challenges
- Recognize how sensory integrative challenges may influence occupation and participation challenges
- Identify assessment tools to assess sensory functions and have a basic understanding of how to interpret assessment data to develop occupation centered goals and intervention plans
- Design individually tailored intervention plans, rooted in ASI
- Discuss current evidence for ASI and consider how to advocate for this approach with stakeholders
Registration capacity is limited to 80 participants. Registration will remain open until Tuesday, January 23rd at noon or when capacity is reached. Early Registration will run through December 31st.
