1. Name and and credentials?
Kori Richins COTA/L

2. What setting do you work in?
Mental Health

3. How long have you been working in this profession and setting?
I have been working at Utah State Hospital in the Forensics Unit for 20 years.

4. What led you to pursue occupational therapy as your profession?
A close friend of mine suggested I apply for a job at Utah Valley Hospital as an OT Aide; I fell in love and the rest is history!

5. What is one thing industry-related you learned in the last month?
Learning how to incorporate sensory integration into a variety of groups, including pain management.

6. One person who inspires you?
Definitely my So many people, but mostly my Shaman Master.

7. What is your favorite place in the world?
Yachats, Oregon, hoping to retire there someday.

8. What was the last book that you read?
Untamed by Glennon Doyle

9. Any hobbies or interests?
I am a Shaman that is Reiki and Sound Healing Certified; I love drum circles, collecting sound healing instruments and traveling

10. What is one of your greatest achievements?
I have many solid long lasting relationships, a solid career and a happy and healthy family.

11. What are you passionate about?
Having a lifetime of learning and showing compassion to all living things.

12. What are some goals that you have on your bucket list?
Retiring in a few years and traveling to Europe.

13. A fun fact about you that people may not know about you?
Some may not know that I have created a magical space in my basement to enhance my own practices.

14. If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life what would you choose?
Tri-tip, cooked to perfection, asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes.

15. What is the best thing about belonging to UOTA?
Learning and growing with like-minded individuals.
