I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare, but I knew I didn't want to be a nurse. When I discovered OT I instantly knew I would fit here and I could thrive in this community of other people helping people. I graduated from SLCC OTA program in 2010, began working with geriatric population and never left! This population is my passion. I have since transitioned from providing direct patient care into a corporate role. I have held positions training other practitioners, have experience in QA/regulatory and compliance, and currently head clinical operations for over 40 SNF rehab programs across the western US. I began volunteering with UOTA last year and have really enjoyed getting involved with our OT community in Utah through my engagement with the board and through government affairs. I am learning a lot and hope to remain involved with UOTA for the foreseeable future.
