Call for Nominations

We are fortunate to have a state association which is growing and becoming stronger. This is truly an association that is run by the members for the members. In April, we will be electing officials to continue helping the association be vibrant and helpful to its constituency. These are elected positions by the membership to work on behalf of the membership.

There are 4 Utah Occupational Therapy Association Executive Board positions up for election this year! There will be a regular election for President-Elect, Vice President, Treasurer, and Member-at-Large, all 2-year terms, except president elect as this is a one-year term. These are all volunteer positions.

You are welcome to nominate yourself for one of these positions or nominate someone else. To be eligible, a candidate must be an OT or OTA and a current member of the UOTA. Please consider running for one of these positions, or volunteering someone you know and admire. It is a great opportunity to serve and network! All positions will start on July 1st, 2026.

The following positions are up for re-election on the 2026 ballot:

All nominations must be submitted by March 15th, 2026. Earlier is better, since nominees must be contacted before being placed on the ballot.
Please use the forms below (one for each position) to nominate a member. Please note that all fields are required for each position.

Vice President (2-year term):
  1. Fulfills presidential duties in the absence of the president; succeeds to the presidency in the event of a vacancy in the office of the president.
  2. Serves on the Executive Board with vote.
  3. Coordinates the membership and annual business meetings of the Association.
  4. Oversight and liaison for the membership committee, continuing education committee & conference committee.
  5. Oversees course accreditation requests.

    Treasurer (2-year term):
    1. Responsible for the financial affairs of the Association.
    2. Serves on the Executive Board with vote.
    3. Oversight for fees and monies paid in and costs occurred to the Association.
    4. Maintains and has oversight for the budget.
    5. Reports to the Executive Board the status of the budget, projections, and trends having significant financial implication.

      Member-at-Large (2-year term):
      1. Represents the interests of the OT profession in Utah.
      2. Serves on the Executive Board with vote.
      3. Oversight and liaison for the work of the regional representatives and their committee.
      4. Oversight and liaison for the work of the specialty practice liaisons and their committee.

        President-Elect (1-year term):
        1. Shall fulfill presidential duties in the absence of the President.
        2. Shall succeed to the presidency in the event of a vacancy in the office of the President.
        3. Shall have a voice in the affairs of the Executive Board.
        4. Shall not vote in the affairs of the Executive Board except in fulfilling the duties of President in the case of the absence of the President.
        5. Moves into the Presidency of the UOTA July 1, 2026 thru June 30, 2027.
